Hey,

I have got a prob with my KDE. I am unsing xfree and KDE 3.1 and now i have a problem with my resoultions. I installed mplayer and i want to use it on a TV ... but the problem is that if i switch my KDE to 800*600 resolution ... it does not show everything (even on my crt monitor) but only a little part ... for example the upper left quater of my desktop..

CAn anyone help me ...

my xfree entry is:

There is nothing you can do about it. If you have Modes "1280x1024" "800x600" you will get a virtual resolution of 1280x1024 when switching to 800x600, a "scrollable viewport of 800x600 in a geometry of 1280x1024".
This is how X works, and if I didn't miss some development in the past, you just have to accept that.
